Effective June 1, 2022, Garrun Group has implemented significant changes in its executive leadership to prepare for the next stage of its strategic journey. With a focus on commercial, personal, and specialist insurance, Garrun Group has served South Africa for over six decades as one of its largest independent insurance intermediaries with a regional presence countrywide.

As part of the changes, Cliff Garrun will transition to the role of Chairman of the Group, while Vaughan Jones will become the new Chief Executive Officer. Vaughan is a partner and co-founder of Calibrate, a private equity group that acquired a stake in Garrun Group in 2019.

Vaughan expressed his pride in leading the Group's next chapter and has acknowledged the contributions of Cliff and his late father, Manny, in taking the business from a small suburban brokerage to one of the largest independent insurance intermediaries in South Africa. Vaughan will continue to work closely with Cliff, who will remain a presence and force in the business as the Chairman of the Board.
